Dear William Bryant Families,
It is truly an honor to be a part of the William Bryant family and I look forward to working with you to meet your child’s educational goals. We are happy you are a part of our school family and hope that your educational experiences this year will be rich and rewarding. The staff members are dedicated professionals whose ultimate goal is helping your child succeed both socially and academically. It gives me great pleasure to work together as a team to do what is best for your child each and every day.
We are excited that you will be calling William Bryant home this year. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Abbie Swisher and I have been blessed to be in the Blue Springs School District for sixteen years. After graduating from the University of Missouri (Go Tigers!), I started my teaching career at James Walker Elementary. At JWE, I had the opportunity to teach third and fifth grade. During this time, I started working on my specialist degree in Administration. I quickly discovered a new passion: helping teachers help kids through administration. This new passion led to a great opportunity where I left the classroom and started my administrative career. This role allowed me to collaborate with different leaders, students, and families at different elementary schools in the Blue Springs School District. I became Principal at Thomas Ultican Elementary and spent the last seven years as a Wild Kitten. Now, I am excited to begin my first year as principal at William Bryant Elementary, home of the Bobcats.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Carson for 13 years. We are blessed to have two girls. Addilyn is five and Caroline is our newest addition born this summer. We love being outside, spending time together with family and friends, and traveling.
Words cannot describe how excited and honored I am to continue working alongside you to do what is best for our kids! William Bryant Elementary is truly a great place for kids. My goal is to spend time getting to know your child to help them feel safe, valued, and loved. At WBE, high expectations are a part of our school culture and we will strive daily to challenge your child to meet his or her educational goals. As educators, we will continue to inform you of your child’s learning as you are instrumental in the educational success of your child. Please communicate with your child’s classroom teacher or myself if you have any concerns or questions. I am looking forward to being a partner with you in your child’s education as we work together to make the best school year possible.
Sincerely,
Abbie Swisher
Principal
