To celebrate our final day of bike riding, all classes will get to do a glow ride with the black lights on and the bikes glowing.
Day Your Child Has The Glow Ride
Monday (March 2nd) – Fritz, Oddo
Tuesday (March 3rd) – Smith, Taylor
Wednesday (March 4th) – Foster, Bishop
Thursday (March 5th) – Hunt, Talcott
Students are encouraged to wear white or bright colors that will show up in the black lights. This year students will have the opportunity to purchase glow bracelets for just $1.00 each. Students may purchase as many as they like (2 or 3 bands connected can make a necklace). All proceeds from the glow band sale will benefit the PE department to buy equipment for fun activities like the bowling tournament, Circus Skills, bike riding, cup stacking, and much more. If you plan on buying glow bands, send your student with exact change on the day they have PE (days listed below). Sales will take place during their scheduled PE time. Thanks for your support!

|
Lunch Visitors
To help maintain a safe and orderly school environment, we ask for your cooperation by adhering to the guidelines below:
- Please use the link below to sign up to eat lunch with your student. Guests must sign up at least 24 hours in advance. This helps us better accommodate our guests and seating.
- The sign up time is the start of lunchtime, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time to check in at the main office. Once appointments are full, a different open date must be selected. Please do not select another time, as each grade level has its own lunch time.
- Please allow time to check in at the front office. A photo ID will be requested.
- Once properly checked in, visitors must wear a visitor sticker while in the building.
- Visitors and their student(s) will have a designated eating area in our building. Once the student’s lunch period is over, all visitors must leave the building and are not allowed to walk their student to the classroom or attend recess.
- Some dates are blocked due to school activities/events.
- If you have multiple students, you must sign up for each student’s check-in time.
All lunch visitors must complete the online lunch guest/volunteer background screening application at least five days before their first visit. This process must be completed each year. Information regarding the background management system has been sent in the weekly emails.

Volunteer Application Procedure
The Blue Springs School District has partnered with the local company DataSource to enhance and strengthen our current background screening process for Volunteer Guests. It is FREE, SECURE, and SIMPLE to register. Please go to https://bssd.quickapp.pro. Click on the building in which you are planning to volunteer. (If you have students attending multiple buildings, you will only need to complete one application. After completing the application, please contact the Building School Resource Officer for the school you applied at and let them know you have students at additional locations). Volunteer applications MUST be submitted at least five (5) days before the event for which you are volunteering. After submission, please wait for an email from DataSource. The email will let you know whether you have been approved or denied.
Although this process will prevent an individual from volunteering for school activities like PTA events, field trips, or lunch, it will NOT prevent a parent/guardian from partnering with the school to attend their child’s events such as parent-teacher conferences, school performances, or family nights. This process is solely for those Volunteer Guests that could have the potential of working with or being involved with students who are not their own. Individuals receiving and reviewing initial background check information will maintain the confidentiality of any documentation received. If an initial review shall provide cause for a more detailed review of background information, only those individuals with a need to obtain personally identifiable information shall have access to such information.
